A coach typically focuses on helping clients set and achieve specific goals, develop skills, and overcome obstacles in various aspects of their personal or professional lives. They often work in a collaborative partnership with clients to facilitate  discovery and growth.

On the other hand, a therapist is trained to diagnose and treat mental health issues, emotional challenges, and psychological disorders. They employ therapeutic techniques to explore past experiences, emotions, and behaviors to promote healing, resolve conflicts, and improve mental well-being.

While both coaches and therapists may address similar topics and provide support, their approaches, training, and focus areas differ. Coaches primarily concentrate on goal-setting, skill-building, and performance enhancement, while therapists primarily focus on addressing mental health concerns and emotional well-being. Additionally, therapists typically have formal education and licensure requirements, whereas coaching may not have standardized regulations in all jurisdictions.
